A woman named Lisa was job shadowing in Reference this morning, so there was a lot of discussion. We talked about what type of person fits in the different types of libraries (Public, Academic, School.) Ruth explained how you need to love your community and you are there to serve and provide outreach. There was also a lot of discussion about the needs of different types of libraries. Ruth asked me to give my input on the education side because I had started out in the K-12 certification. The other big focus of the day was the online data bases. We talked about the different kinds KU subscribed to and how they direct students to use them whenever they can.
